About me
Hi, I’m Sereena, a passionate and holistic osteopath currently practicing in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. Since graduating in 2017 with a double degree in Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy), I’ve been on a truly rewarding journey in the field of natural healthcare.
Early in my career, I had the privilege of working and training under the late Steve Porter — an incredible mentor and a leading osteopath who deeply shaped the way I practice today. In 2022, I took my skills abroad and spent nearly two years living and working in Germany, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with an inspiring osteopath specialising in paediatrics. That experience broadened my perspective and deepened my love for working with children, babies, and women’s health.
I consider myself a truly holistic practitioner — no two people are the same, and I tailor my treatments to meet the unique needs of each individual. Whether I’m helping athletes improve mobility, supporting women through pregnancy, or treating children and the elderly, I’m committed to addressing the whole person — not just their symptoms.
I absolutely love what I do. Osteopathy gives people natural, empowering options for healing — and I believe everyone deserves to feel more connected, balanced, and energised in their own body. Osteopaths are like mechanics for the body, helping to restore optimal function, relieve strain, and improve overall well being.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find me travelling, rock climbing, snowboarding, or on the yoga mat — I’m also a qualified yoga instructor and enjoy integrating body awareness into my practice whenever it supports your healing.
Osteopathy matters now more than ever. In a fast-paced world, people need to be heard and cared for as whole beings. Our bodies tell stories — and I’m here to listen, guide, and help you feel your best.
I can’t wait to meet you and be part of your health journey.
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is more than a treatment — it’s a philosophy of healing that respects the incredible intelligence and resilience of the human body. It’s about understanding that everything in the body is connected, and that true health comes from balance, movement, and function working in harmony.
Osteopathy is a hands-on, holistic form of manual therapy that looks beyond just symptoms to find and treat the root cause of dysfunction. It’s based on the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself — sometimes it just needs a little help removing restrictions, restoring mobility, and rebalancing the system.
I often describe osteopaths as “body mechanics.” Just like a car needs alignment and tune-ups to run smoothly, our bodies need the same kind of care. When something is out of place — physically, structurally, or even emotionally — it can impact how we move, feel, and live.
In my practice, I use a wide range of techniques tailored to each individual — from gentle cranial and visceral work to structural and functional approaches. Whether I’m supporting a newborn baby, an expectant mother, a busy athlete, or someone simply seeking more ease in their day-to-day life, my goal is always the same: to support your body’s natural capacity to heal, adapt, and thrive.
Osteopathy matters because people deserve care that sees them as a whole person — not just a diagnosis. It’s about listening, observing, and treating with purpose, so you can feel more connected, more balanced, and more yourself.
